I'm a pop artist and I'm looking for serious musicians to start my band. I'm looking for people who are willing to start on this project from he ground up. Hopefully we can get ready soon and start playing gigs. I'm finishing up my album and will like to start promoting my songs soon. All my music is original and if you are interested e-mail me and I can send you some samples. I'm 24 and I'm in the Miami area. I would like to find people who are down to earth with no big egos and easy to get along with. This project is serious and I need people who are willing to hep me take it to the next level..Though is not a paying job hopefully we can start finding some gigs soon.. We will definitely start locally but the goal is to shoot for something bigger.

I'm missing:

That Bluesy Feelin'

Have you 'got tha feelin'?

We need a really good blues band in SFL that will make ya'll want to come see us and PAY.

Theres always room for GOOD stuff.

Can you do Berry Oakley?

Are you a G. Allman on the keys, or S. Winwood or R Charles?

Do you know flat tire on the drums?

Can the horn man play Tom Waits blues style?

Do you ever think about what todays blues should be about and how they would sound best?

Can you play blues on violin, cello, viola?

Can you play some other esoteric instrument in a blues, jazz style?

Are you a female or male singer who cries inside and maybe can make others 'feel their pain'?

Are you a guitarman/lady and can feel Son House, Lightnin' Hopkins, Robert Johnson, Pink Anderson, Floyd Council, Leadbelly, Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, Barbecue Bob, etc. and can make a great interpretation like Duane & Gregg Allman, Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, Mike Bloomfield, Ry Cooder, Charlie Musselwhite, Dr. John, Neville Brothers, etc.?

It's about the chemistry, not age, not sex, not religion, not drugs, ..., not anything that would prohibit you from being 'part of the group'.

I'm starting this, but I am looking for others cats who have the same feelin' as me. I don't want to just always be telling you what to do.

Object is to get it right, then sell it (i.e. play paid gigs, tour, sell the music, etc.) and who knows.

First we're going to work on covers and get really nice versions going that maybe we can get some paid gigs with.

Then we'll see if anybody likes our original stuff too.

Now some legal crap: due to places and commitments we might make, you must be at least 21 years old (you know, alcohol, naked girls, etc).
I really don't want any drugs or irresponsible influences involved and screwing this up
You've got to show up for practice/work (unless of course your grandmother is dies again...but this won't fly too many times). You've got to have your
own equipment at the start as there will be no 'band owned' gear on startup.

Nobody really knows how long it will take to 'get it right'. So you should be very flexible for the band's requirements and at the same time be able to feed yourself
and sleep comfortably. If you're really dedicated to getting where you want to be, you'll figure out how and if you can do it. (Even Greg Allman worked on a fishing
boat when the band wasn't making any money).

If you wanna do blues/jazz with a feelin', let me know.

Reply to this ad with your phone number and a little note, link, etc. about yourself and I'll give you a call.

Thanks

Note: I don't do the email thingy tag so replies without phone numbers will be ignored. Sorry.

Gigs Booked - Rock Cover Band Needs Bass Player & Singer & Key Board Player

Two Guitarist and Drummer with Experience, Connections, and gigs booked.

Its important you are at least familiar with Rock from the 70's through Present. If you don't know who the band Grand Funk or Free or Stevie Ray or Santana is......you shouldn't answer this ad. And as funny as this sounds.....we've had people come to be in our band, that have no clue. Where they have been or what they have been listening to as musicians for the past 30 years is beyond me....but it must have been a huge hole in the ground with a big rock over it.....lol

Back to business......

We need a Bass player that has a nice touch and can help the drummer hold a great groove.....Must be tone conscience and if you can sing, or sing back-ups that a plus for sure.

We would like to have a singer so the instrument players can concentrate on playing, but we do sing and will assist a front person / lead singer.

We would like to incorporate a keyboard player if we can find the right person that knows how to play with other instruments.

If you do one of these three things....come to our open jam audition, meet and greet in Kendall this Saturday.....

Email for the info.....

Need A Demo CD?...Dennis Weislik Recordings (WIZ LIX) will give You Quality Cheap!

posted: November 6, 2009, 08:00 AM

Replyddweislik@aol.com

We all need Demo CDs, Video DVDs, pictures, songlists, websites. Something to get our band name out there. The list goes on. But if you want to play anywhere, you better at least have a Demo. I'm a graduate and former teacher at Berklee and Grad. of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.
I never go out or even make a phone call without at least a quality CD in hand that I can drop off in person. There is too much competition and you gotta do what you gotta do.
I can make you a quality CD and not break your bank in the process. I can record the band or yourself all at once or layer your sound or do a little of both . I know things are tough, I record Demos for solo and band gigs. It pays off in the long run .
Contact me by email and we will have to talk at some point because this could be the difference betweenplaying or sitting in the audience listening to someone that put together a CD and did the leg work and you (probably a better guitarist or band. My email is ddweislik@aol.com. I specifically have equipment that can be set up anywhere, so if you like the sound at your rehearsal spot, we can do it there. We can do it live if you want.
I've been doing this for a while, we can get this done and get it done affordably. I care about your sound.
Hope to hear from you and good luck,
Dennis

Working cover band seeks singer

Classic rock cover band seeks singer to cover songs from The Beatles to U2 and Billy Idol to STP. We have played out from Homestead to Key Largo but would like to play out from Fort Lauderdale to Key Largo, so we need a dedicated, diverse singer (male or female (preferably)). We play approximately 2 (two) gigs a month and we split the income four ways which, to date has worked out to be $100 per person per gig. The band member's ages range from mid-forties to early fifties and we would prefer someone close to our age, but will consider someone youger (if interested). We have a practice space in South Miami, so all that you would have to bring to the audtion and subsequent practices (one to two times a week, if selected) would be your talent. If interested please reply to this ad with pertinent details (experience, etc.), including contact information.

Currently, we are working on a webpage which can be viewwed at the following URL: http://www.miksonsanimations.com/NightShift.htm

Thankyou,
Chris
