Sabadell United Bank today announced it is hosting the upcoming “Miami 2020 and Beyond – Real Estate’s Resurgence and its Impact on Our Global City”, a commercial real estate seminar featuring Miami’s prominent business leaders.

The event is being presented by the Miami Chapter of Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Florida from 5:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on October 24th at Sabadell’s headquarters, 1111 Brickell Avenue, Suite 3010. For over 30 years, the Bergstrom Center has been cultivating synergy among researchers, academics, students and industry leaders who drive the real estate marketplace. The Bergstrom Center supports the UF real estate courses and degree programs housed within the Warrington College of Business Administration.

Steve Cohen, Sabadell’s executive vice president of commercial real estate lending, is one of the event’s prominent speakers and serves on the advisory board for the Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. The event is being moderated by Seth Werner, chairman of Harbour Investments and Bergstrom Center advisor board member. It will focus on how international investment has changed the skyline of Miami and what opportunities exist today and in the future. Other speakers include:
• Manny Diaz, who served as the mayor of Miami from 2001-2009, authored the book Miami Transformed
• Neisden Kasdin, former Miami Beach mayor, Governor and Trustee for the Urban Land Institute and Office Managing Shareholder of Akerman Senterfitt
• Peter Zalewski, founder of Condo Vultures in March 2006 and other companies which provide real estate market analysis and advisory services.

Attendance is limited for the program requires an RSVP to and a tax deductible donation to the Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies. The cost is $50 for Bergstrom Center members and $70 for the general public.
