WHO: United HomeCare® (UHC), South Florida’s leading home health community organization, proudly continues its annual traditional of providing Thanksgiving Day gift baskets to some of its neediest clients. Striving to make a difference in the lives of the nearly 5,000 elderly and disabled adults across Miami-Dade it cares for each week, United HomeCare has committed to making 300 baskets this year and needs helping hands from the community to assemble them.

WHAT: Individuals and groups are invited to volunteer for a minimum of two hours or more of their time assembling Thanksgiving baskets at UHC’s Caregiver Resource Center in Doral. Baskets will include non-perishable holiday food staples along with a gift card to purchase such perishables as a turkey or chicken. Food donations are not required, just willing hands looking to partake in the Thanksgiving spirit. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate.
