GREATER MIAMI PRIDE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR PRIDE 2010


MIAMI, FL (August 8, 2009) – Greater Miami Pride, preparing Miami-Dade County’s first ever Pride Festival in late summer 2010 is seeking volunteers and sponsors for the week long festivities.

GMP is looking for liquor, cruise lines, airlines, media and other businesses who are interested in sponsoring the event.

Greater Miami Pride 2010 will run from September 30 to October 2, 2010 and feature a gala event, comedy night, gallery walk, vogue dance competition, parade along with a 5-night cruise from Miami to Key West, the Bahamas and a private island.

Additionally the planning committee is seeking volunteers and not-for-profit agencies who work with the GLBT community to become involved in helping to make this annual event one that Miami-Dade County can be proud of.

This 3 hour workshop is designed for all ages, shapes and sizes whether you have dance experience or not. The main goal is to experience the evolution of Bollywood Dance from the beginning of its origins in Classical Indian Dance into modern day Magical Bollywood.

Step into the world of glamour with exciting dance moves from the Bollywood Film Industry!

In just three hours, Jaya Vaswani will take you on a tour of India and guarantees you will walk out feeling like you've joined a Bollywood musical! You will learn everything from the basics of Classical Indian Dance, with its intrinsic details in hand gestures, footwork and facial expressions, to a high-energy choreography piece with the use of music from the world renowned Bollywood Film Industry.

Jaya's Mini BIO:

Jaya Vaswani has been igniting International venues and stages for over 10 years with her Bollywood dance performances. Her credibility comes from her training in London, England and Los Angeles, CA where she has worked with theatrical and fusion dominated dance companies such as Blue13 Dance, Taal Dance Company, and Rax Entertainment. In Los Angeles, she has had the pleasure of featuring in commercials and music videos, namely Shahab Tiam's 'Dokhtare Kaboli' music video. Another awesome tidbit on Jaya is that she has personally shared dance space and worked with Lotus Favorite "Tribal" DJ....Cheb I Sabbah!

Currently residing in S. Florida as a Bollywood dance instructor and certified Masala Bhangra instructor, Jaya continues to bring the glamorous world of Bollywood dance across the globe with her online classes at www.MyBollywoodStudio.com.
