WHY:
this machine is suited for bodybuilders, aspiring ones, or anyone interested in beginning a weight-training routine without the hassle of gyms.. I am not. i am a cyclist. i got in an accident, broke my back, shoulder, hand and sternum. buying this at almost a grand [machine and arm attachment] cost me a fraction of the cost of many months of therapy i was prescribed. all better now. now, this has to go!

CONDITION:
machine and curl attachment: like new!! just about 18 months old, it has never seen more than 225lb on the press bar, and less everywhere else. the only scratches are where they should be: on the press bar, where you slide the weight on and off, or where the bars contact the unit when you are doing your sets. nowhere else. you will have these scratches within a day if you bought it brand new. otherwise, no dings, no dents, no scrapes, no sweat/grime! very clean! as for the weight plates: excellent! many never even used! and none of that rusty stuff. inside 100% of time!

HOW MUCH DID IT COST?
the machine $800, the arm attachment $150, the 275lbs weight plates cost $220 at $.80 per pound. GRAND TOTAL: just under $1200 + tax/shipping another $100++. The lowest retail price i can find for just the basic machine without attachments or weights: $849 from manufacturer.

HOW MUCH IS MINE?
$700 for the machine and arm attachment! i will not sell the arm attachment separately, sorry. because alone, it is a hard sell. need weights? 275lbs for $140 [$.50 per pound]. everything $840 plus i'll also throw in the free mirror and 100 pounds of standard plates [4 x 25lbs. trust me, you will need nothing else!!!!...maybe gloves :)

SPECS:
machine: 101" long x 56" wide x 82" tall. weight without plates: 290 lbs. [i have this thing in my studio apartment + 500lb of weight plates + 6 bikes!!]

weight plates: black and grey olympic plates. i have 2 x 45lb, 2 x 35lb, 2 x 25lb, 4 x 10lb, 4 x 5lb, and 2 x 2.5lb.

MAX LOAD/CAPACITY:
machine handles up to 500lbs on bench press, 350lbs on lat machine, 250lbs for leg lift, 300lbs squat bar attachment [included]. arm attachment handles up to 200lbs!

MAIN COMPOUND EXCERCISES:
you can do lat pulldowns, arm curls, shoulder press, leg extensions, triceps presses, leg curls, bench press, ab crunches, seated rows, and squats, etc… many other isolation exercises obviously.


one of the coolest things about this unit, and one of the reasons i bought it, is that you don’t need a spotter when you work out! if you need to work to failure for hypertrophy or strength gains, you can do so without fear of caving in your chest if you drop the weight :)

it's not disassembled--people will want to see it assembled. once paid for, i am more than happy to help you disassemble it and to help you carry everything to your car. unless you want to make several trips, you should come in a medium to large car; it won't fit in a Mini :)

there are instructions for reassembly. it took me about 1.5 hours to assemble it by myself and recovering from injury.... i can even give you tools to do so.

one other thing. i want to sell it but i am not desperate. i am offering it at a great price.

2008 Trek Remedy 8 17.5

Here is an amazing bike that has treated me well over the last few riding seasons.  This bicycle has Treks ABP rear suspension linkage complimented by 6 inches of travel, the perfect combination for a all mountain/cross country bike.  There are a number of upgrades included with the bike that truly brings out the best in the bike.  I had the bicycle professionally overhauled which included the installation of a NEW 2009 Rock Shox Lyric 2-Step.  I also upgraded to Bontrager Race X Lite Carbon Bars, Shimano XTR 175mm Crankset w/ Bottom Bracket and a Crank Brothers Joplin Adjustable Seatpost.  The frame is in amazing condition with only a few minor scratches that came from the factory.
