Arc Broward is currently looking to hire Full-time Recycling Support Technician.

The Technician will be responsible for handling and managing all the end of life electronics that are processed into and out of the facility on a daily basis.

He/she interact with a variety of stakeholders including Arc Tech staff, students, customers and downstream vendors and must always be courteous and professional in their interactions.

Furthermore, a large amount of material processed through the warehouse is sensitive and the technicians must display a high level of ethics and report activity which compromises the integrity of the business.

He/she must be cooperative with supervisory and administrative staff and respond professionally to their daily assignments.

The technicians must display a work behaviors and attitude consistent with a safety conscious organization.

Essential Functions

Dismantle parts of recycle/sale and wipe hard drives according to standard operating procedures.

Responsible for receiving materials, logging/inventory materials and tracking materials through testing/recycling process.

Break down pallets and sort/process computer equipment (pcs, monitors, printers, LCDs, etc.)

Conduct inventory of material according to establish operating procedures and contractual requirements.

Completes and submits documentation of electronic materials as assigned.

Safely loads and unloads electronic materials in a manner that maximizes efficiency and safety.

Uses pallet jack in a safe, responsible manner.

Keeps warehouse clean and orderly with an emphasis on overall safety.

Keeps track of tools.

Performs work as scheduled by management or designee in his/her absence.

Safely drives 26’ truck and transports electronics materials to and from assigned locations.

Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Must be 21 years old.

Must possess a valid Class E Driver’s License with less than 6 chargeable points.

Must be able to drive a 26’ truck with manual transmission and electric lift gate.

Must pass the agency’s driving test within 3 attempts within probation period (90 days).

Must become Forklift certified within 90 days of employment.

Must pass criminal background check.

Must pass physical and drug test.

Must be able to complete 5 days of new hire orientation class.


Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.


$11.00 Per Hour
