Job Summary
The APM Technician ensures proper operation and monitoring of the APM train at Miami Dade Airport to transport passengers with optimum comfort in compliance with safety regulations. The Technician monitors, investigates, and responds appropriately to alarm signals to guarantee the safe transportation of passengers.
:Monitor, investigate and respond appropriately to alarm signals
:Monitor various system cameras within control room
:Assist maintenance technicians as needed
:Comply with all safety regulations and policies at all times
:Decide appropriate measures during operation to ensure passenger safety
:Fill out the CMMS software, operations logbook, and related documents
:Inform the management team if system is safe and in compliance with the hours
:Assume responsibility and take necessary actions for problem resolution
:High School/GED Required
:Previous experience in Security, TSA and airport operations, dispatch, or similar field is preferred
:Background in mechanics or electrical is ideal
:Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and be at least 18 years of age
:Must pass all pre:employment screenings and tests
:Effective Problem solving and troubleshooting capability
:Ability to work rotating shifts, including holidays, weekends, and potential overtime (tram operates 24 hours a day)
:Ability to read, write, and speak English
:Ability to accurately complete and interpret technical analysis and paperwork
:Ability to work independently and within a team
:Good knowledge of computerized security systems and procedures
