The Four Points Miami Airport is searching for a talented, experienced sales professional to fill our Sales Manager position. As one of the newest hotels in the competitive Miami Airport market, the Four Points Miami Airport has 124 beautifully decorated rooms as well as more than 1000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Job Description
To develop new business and grow existing accounts within the very busy Miami Airport and Doral.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of two years of hotel sales experience with a strong background in the corporate market, particularly in identifying and pursuing new accounts in the area as well as accounts currently utilizing competitors for their hotel needs.
Willingness and enthusiasm for outside sales to call on existing and potential clients in order to develop both corporate group and transient sales opportunities .
A thorough knowledge of the RFP process, negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver a high level of service that encourages repeat business and nurtures a long term business relationship.
Knowledge of the Miami Airport market is a definite plus, particularly in understanding the seasonal dynamics of the market as related to pricing, competitors strategies and clients with year round hotel needs.
Experience and competency with Starwood branded property management and sales development systems.
The ability to communicate verbally and through written communications in English and Spanish.
Strong time management skills.
Comfortably and confidently conduct site visits and host client lunches, etc.
The flexibility to occasionally travel overnight to trade shows, conferences, client visits, etc.
This is an extremely busy property that requires a dedicated and focused individual with the ability to take initiative in assisting to drive revenues, especially through rate growth.
Requirements:

Training staff on sales systems and department procedures, completing sales month and reports for the department, assisting staff with data entry into sales systems, and general administrative responsibilities.

Adheres to the hotels rate and sales strategies to secure the optimal mix of business.
:
Assists in booking catering/small meetings business for the hotel.
:
Design, create and analyze sales reports for the end of the month and marketing efforts.
:
Administrative support: typing, filing, answering phones, coordinating business trips including airfare and accommodations.
:
Maturity, commitment to continuous improvement, and a passion for being part of an establish team in pursuit of financial success and exceptional service.
:
Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events.
:
Participates in the development and execution of all sales and marketing activities
:
Develops and executes appropriate sales and marketing support materials while understanding consumer trends of defined segments.
:
Ensures all brand standards are implemented.
:
Recommends adjustments to plan as changes occur in the competitive landscape.
:
Analyzes business trends, identifies revenue opportunities, and aids the Director of Sales and Marketing in developing plans with supporting tactics for revenue attainment.

Develops specific sales training plans for reservation, group and catering sales staff.

Demonstrates the ability to retain high performing staff members through effective selection, training, performance management, and career development.

Develops strategic promotional and advertising plans.
:
Maintains awareness of competitive practices among competing properties.
Monitors the relationship between pricing practices, market performance and consumer acceptance.
