Purpose and Objective: SAP International, Inc. seeks a Revenue Recognition Senior Specialist at our Miami, FL location to work as a Financial Analyst within the finance and accounting function, including the design and execution of one or more functions that are performed to meet accounting and financial reporting requirements that result from legal obligations or SAP internal rules, processes, and guidelines.
Expectations and Tasks:
Perform one or more functions related to key finance areas (revenue recognition, commissions, orders, contracts, accounts receivable, treasury matters, billing, or additional functions not in scope of a global Finance Shared Service model). Serve as a revenue recognition senior specialist for a specific region, territory, or global level and fully integrate with the field to provide deal support to proactively address issues. Handle complex revenue recognition matters and critical non:routine transactions, proactively proposing alternative, more preferable or simpler transaction setup or deal structures. Responsible for the relationship to the next level revenue recognition function. Participate in the monthly close process. Respond to escalation of issues and projects/activities of moderate risk, and present critical issues to leadership for resolution. Partner closely with internal customers, external counterparts, peers and management at the global, regional or local level and guide others Assist with coordinating one or more project, and focus on process improvement and change. 10 travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, IT Law, Computer Science or related field of study, or related field, or a related field of study and 6 years of experience required. We will also accept a Masters degree and 4 years of experience.
Experience must include: IFRS and USGAAP; Project work in the finance and revenue domain; Analyzing financial reports and performing statistical analysis to provide recommendations to senior finance leadership (including the CFO); solving escalations in the finance domain; working independently; handling multiple top priorities within the finance domain simultaneously; and SAP Financial processes and systems. 10 travel required.
