Within Capital Group, North American Distribution (NAD) oversees sales and distribution for North America across various client groups including: individual investors, retirement plans and institutional clients. Their efforts are focused on positioning Capital Group as the active investment manager of choice, providing superior service, sales and marketing experience while broadening our business.
Embedded in both Capitals European and North American Distribution teams, the NRC/Offshore Wholesaler is responsible for driving education, awareness, adoption rates, and market share for Capitals NRC/Offshore Funds suite. He/she will actively develop relationships with financial institutions such as global and regional banks, insurance companies, asset managers, fund of funds and multi:family offices. The BDM is expected to generate business leads, win new clients and act as a key go:to person for prospective and existing financial intermediary clients.
Responsibilities:
:
Develop a focused strategy to grow assets in the US Offshore private wealth market
:
Introduce Capital, generate prospecting meetings and build meaningful client relationships
:
Develop a bespoke sales strategy for target client groups and win new business
:
Manage prospect requests for information through multiple channels
:
Represent Capital at relevant industry conferences/seminars
:
Liaise with Relationship Managers, Business Development Associates and internal departments (e.g. Marketing, Fee Consulting, RFP team, Legal, investment professionals) as part of the sales cycle
:
Maintain information on prospects and target institutions and maintain critical management information about prospects and clients within the required CRM systems
:
Coordinate, and where necessary customize, materials for use with prospects to create interest and build relationships
:
Cross:sell American Funds retail and retirement plan products to Financial Advisors who maintain a mixed domestic and offshore practice, where appropriate
Requirements:
:
10+ Years of proven track record in third party distribution, a broad knowledge of the mutual fund business, retirement plan sales, and the demonstrated ability to build long:term relationships
:
Proven track record of sales success within the NRC/Offshore segment and an understanding of key distribution partners, platforms, and the advisory teams operating within them
:
Experienced in presenting to prospects at all levels (e.g. CEO, CIO, Financial Advisors, Partners/MDs of private banks and large wealth managers) and to consultants, clients or colleagues
:
Proven effectiveness at building long:term partnerships with investment professionals
:
The ability to think long:term, assess changing business conditions and risks, and pivot as necessary
:
Bachelors Degree (Relevant field of study)
:
NASD series 7 and 63 securities licenses required (Clean compliance and U4 record required)
