This is an OPEN HIRING POOL for six (6) months to fill current and anticipated vacancies in our Miami field Office.

The Division requires you to live no more than 50 miles from your residence to your assigned duty station (office). The mileage will be determined by geodesic distance (direct line) from their address of resident to the address of their assigned office.
ONLY APPLICANTS WITH CURRENT FLORIDA LAW ENFORCEMENT CERTIFICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED.
Three (3) or more years sworn law enforcement experience is required. A college degree from an accredited college or university can count for one (1) year of experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
A college degree from an accredited college or university.
Insurance experience as an adjuster, investigator, or examiner.
Any financial auditing, financial investigations, or certified fraud examiner experience such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner.
NOTE: (Correctional Officers Certifications do not meet the requirements of the job description.)
This position requires the successful completion of the following: a physical agility test, a medical physical with EKG, a security background check, including fingerprinting, polygraph, psychological assessment and urine drug test as a condition of employment
The starting salary for Law Enforcement Investigator II will be 41, (In addition, Competitive Area Differential :CAD of 4,999.84 will be included for this location)
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
