Job Summary: Responsible for direction of patient care in the telemetry setting. Manages staff members in the Telemetry Unit. Consults with staff, physicians and Director of Telemetry regarding nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs and safety are met. Maintains performance improvement activities and assists in formulating budget.

Regulatory Requirements:
  • Current State of Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
  • 3 or more years of previous experience in Telemetry nursing
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification (PALS for trauma designated units)
  • Successful completion of arrhythmia course
  • Chemotherapy certification (applicable only to RNs administering IV chemotherapeutic agents)
  • TNCC (applicable only to RNs assigned to trauma designated units)
