This position is responsible for developing and managing a strong project business pipeline and providing professional account management for those clients based within the defined territory/region, who are focused on relevant project business. The incumbent will have responsibility for driving project sales growth in two ways: influencing the specification of new projects, and identifying and winning new project contracts. This role will be located in assigned market/region. Develop and implement the project business growth strategy within the assigned segment and territory/region.Develop and implement key account plans and proactively identify customerA?s perceived and unperceived needs and recommend appropriate value:driven solutionsDevelop and manage a robust project pipeline and follow project all through the cycle from demand to successful conversion/project winsProactively seek out specification opportunities and create specifications and project proposalsCreate and maintain meaningful relationships with specifying architects, designers, owners, engineers, developers and contractors as well as other relevant key decision:makers.Work with project sales teams to cross:sell customers in multiple channels.Collaborate with trade and key account sales teams and independent sales agents to properly communicate business opportunities on local, regional and national levelIdentify and participate in industry and customer marketing/specification events to maximize exposure, new business opportunities and drive pipeline and endorser network growth.Gain early adoption of new products through A?thought leadersA? in respective market segmentsLiaise with marketing to share trends, market intelligence; identify and quantify market opportunitiesBachelorA?s degree in business, marketing, or communications. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. 5+ years sales experience with preference for business development/project or commercials sales and in related industryKnowledge of basic plumbing and project business segments is an assetStrong technical, planning and analytical skillsDemonstrated experience in account development, consultative selling and negotiationsWell:developed relationship building skills with ability to build credibility and influence internally and externallyAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writing with presentation abilityAptitude for utilizing emerging technologies and proficiency with CRM, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and outlook.Able to travel as needed to support business in the assigned territory
