Our Human Resources Team is currently seeking an eager, career:oriented individual for a Payroll Specialist position. This position is located in our Miami home office. We are looking for a self:starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills and acute attention to detail, along with strong execution and time management skills. The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner is critical. As an HR Payroll Specialist, you will be exposed to on:the:job training within a fast:paced environment. We will provide guidance and direction on various HR processes and procedures. Coaching and feedback is provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful. Job Summary:The Payroll Specialist will perform payroll accounting and administrative duties to support the Human Resources team including setting up payroll account codes, setting up voluntary deductions, processing and auditing payroll, auditing payroll reports, and processing tax forms and resolving payroll issues. Job Responsibilities:Run and reconcile scheduled payroll cycles (bi:weekly / semi:monthly) for 1,000+ employees locally and multi:state. Receive, analyze and administer child support orders, state and federal tax levies, and garnishments in compliance with all legal requirements. Complete Verifications of Employment and DOL reporting. Recommend or participate in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations utilizing knowledge of state and federal policies and regulations. Enforce pay pile financial, tax and payroll reports for both internal and external purpose.Conduct training sessions for managers to explain payroll policies and procedures that result in improved efficiency and effectiveness. )Distribuite W:2 Wage and Tax Statement reprints. Process and maintain W:4 tax data and changes in personal data.Prepare monthly reports documenting activity for retirement, insurance, and payroll accountsProcess and monitor off:cycle payrolls when checks are needed immediately for legal/compliance reasons or to fulfill urgent requests. Administer our online timekeeper and help resolve all related issues and questions including all transactions that are not entered by the employee or received via interface such as Pay Codes, Holiday Rules, and Pay Methods. Provide support to address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and supervisors received by e:mail and phone.Position Requirements:Minimum Associates Degree or relevant payroll processing experience.Minimum 5 years of experience processing payroll. Knowledge of employment law and risk managementExperience in Ascentis and Novatime is preferred. Prior payroll experience working with outside payroll service providers such as ADP, Paychex, etc.Payroll processing experience in a company of at least 1000+ employees multi:state.Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practicesAbility to analyze data related to payroll, timecards, and costing (general ledger)High mathematic
