The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible to be a lead associate of the store. In this role, you will support the sales of the store and the store manager by assuming various leadership tasks that allow you to become knowledgeable and able to complete management responsibilities. This role represents the lead associate on the selling floor and is depended upon to be a point of contact with other associates in the store for coaching and other development opportunities. The Assistant Sales Manager contributes to the sales and operational functions of the store and is available to support the manager in many duties. This position serves as a next:in:line opportunity for management openings and future new locations. Overall, this position will serve in a dual role of a lead sales person as well as a trainee position for management.

1. Greet incoming customers; establishing the customer experience culture with associates
2. Meet and exceed key performance objectives and sales goals
3. Assist store manager with daily sales and operational tasks
4. Perform as the sales consultant to determine solutions and options for customers based on personal or business wants and needs
5. Partner with store manager to conduct store meetings, create and execute marketing ideas, coach associates, and build new customer relationships
6. Acts as store lead with sales goals, associate motivation, and store communication
7. Supports the store culture and mission to develop store associates
8. Remain familiar with regular Wireless Lifestyle and Sprint communications
9. Participate and manage regular outbound activities with store associates
10. Complete regular sales and operational expectations, not limited to cleaning, stocking, customer calls, counting inventory, tag changing, store layout changes
11. Adhere to company policies by ensuring accuracy, completion, and security with all sales and operational paperwork
12. Complete store opening and closing duties
13. Complete diagnostic services and next step instructions for customers
14. Additional tasks as assigned

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2 year degree preferred
2. Previous retail experience; lead or management experience preferred
3. Previous sales experience, preferred
4. Reliable transportation to accommodate immediate or advance notice of presence
5. Flexible schedule of availability to support traditional retail hours that include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language
7. Basic mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator
8. Ability to use and operate basic functions of a computer including Microsoft office
9. Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
10. Ability to multi:task in a fast:paced environment
