For more information about FIU, visit POSITION DESCRIPTION The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking an Office Specialist to join our team of professionals.Duties include: Coordinates travel arrangements for HWCOM faculty and staff including airline/hotel/car rental and necessary registrations, while in compliance with State Law, University Rules and Policies. Creates and processes travel and expense itineraries and reimbursement needs for College of Medicine faculty and staff Interprets applicable university policies and procedures pertaining to the university travel guidelines Serves as a resource for any travel related question for the faculty and staff at College of Medicine Works closely with travel partners to ensure best pricing Serves as a liaison between controllers and the faculty and staff at the College of Medicine to solve any reimbursement discrepancies Serves as the main point of contact on behalf of the traveler for any travel related questions and/or arrangements Reviews the necessary documentation related to guest travel reimbursements prior to expense manager approval. Liaises with end user to make all necessary corrections, if needed Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED and five (5) years office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior customer service experience preferred.
