Clinical IT Field Analyst II

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is currently seeking a Clinical IT Field Analyst II to join our team of professionals.
Duties Include:
:Provides computing equipment and client application support to the faculty, staff and students of the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM) and FIU Health involving problem resolution and service requests; Conducts support at local and remote sites involving local travel times. Performs computing equipment (desktop, laptop, peripherals, etc.) setup and deployment at local and remote sites.
:Performs computer security threat and vulnerabilities mitigation efforts. Works to patch computer and printer operating systems and applications to the latest available update and build using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or other HWCOM approved application. Works with the COM IT Security Unit to address reported vulnerabilities and threats.
:Manages IT assets by updating asset management application with current asset owner, location and other relevant asset information. Works to surplus computers in accordance with policies and procedures at the HWCOM and University level.
:Troubleshoots, installs, upgrades, maintains and repairs existing system hardware and software issues including connectivity problems.
:Works with COM IT Ticketing system to create, track, manage, and report on help desk tickets based on established process and procedures.
:Communicates with customers to identify, explain, and resolve issues. Organizes work to handle most critical first, then oldest with no supervision. Responds to customer inquiries according to established Service Level Agreements as deemed by COM IT.
:Provides support for classroom and learning facilities as needed; Operates learning facilities AV and IT systems; Assists with exam support coverage.
:Serves as a liaison between College of Medicine IT department and with Division of IT (DoIT) wide subject matter experts.
:Provides status reports, problem summaries, and project status as needed.
:Participates in the on:call (24x7) IT support schedule as requested by the supervisor to maintain adequate coverage throughout the year; Must carry the on:call phone during on:call shift and responds to IT support requests based on established procedures and guideline for 24x7 support.
:Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three (3) years of IT experience, OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge and experience with configuring and troubleshooting Windows 7/8/
