Summary of Job: This position travels 90% of the time and applicants can live anywhere. Our operations are in over 30 states. Must be a “leader of leaders” and people developer. Responsible for the opening of new property accounts and troubleshooting existing accounts. Maintains and transfers expert level knowledge to supervisors and line staff in the areas of hotel/resort/casino housekeeping. You will use your past and current experience working for a major brand to contribute to the success of The Service Companies. This is a succession plan job with next career step as Director of Resort Housekeeping at which point relocation will be essential. Essential Job Functions: Opens new accounts and troubleshoots existing accounts by training supervisors and hourly employees. Works side by side with line staff coaching, encouraging and mentoring. Orders all necessary cleaning supplies, uniforms and equipment to open a new account. Ensures new accounts are opened to client and The Service Companies brand standards and that contract requirements are clearly communicated to staff. Ensures labor and quality standards are being met brand wide at all accounts. Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct. Responsible for the development of supervisors and hourly employees. Publically recognizes and rewards employees. Smiles and is friendly when interacting with co-workers, guests and property employees. Follows and teaches all required safety and standard operating procedures. Adheres to all company and regulatory policies. Reports any wrongdoing to corporate headquarters in Miami, Florida. Works weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and long hours (up to 12 hours per day - 6 days a week while on the road). Acts as a role model to other Service Company employees. Qualifications: Three years experience as a Manager or Director in the hospitality industry in housekeeping operations for a major brand. No exceptions. Hands On Knowledge of Resort/Hotel/Casino housekeeping. College Degree preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must meet company and clients appearance standards. Advanced knowledge of Back of House Operations in Hotels and Restaurants. Ability to travel 90% of the time across the United States. Ability to work with a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Ability to perform all duties as required with or without an accommodation. Ability to motivate and respect hourly employees. Knowledge of e-mail, MS-Word.
