Title: FINANCIAL COUNSELOR - FT - NIGHTS Location: FL-Hialeah Other Locations: Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Contacts patients to verify that the patient's demographic and insurance information and to coordinate this information with nursing and case management. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Displays concern and provides assistance as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Works with customers and identify problem areas and recommend solutions. Assist in ensuring that the pre-certification, re-certification, and concurrent review processes are performed and are complete, accurate and on time. Develops and implements communication mechanism that promotes and timely reimbursement of cases. Expedites payment of patient account balances. Identifies all admissions and encounters with potential financial concern. Makes financial arrangements for patient care encounters. Coordinates financial services with MEP. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers * Previous work experience in Medical field preferred. * Be accurate with names and numbers. * Additional languages. * Basic computer skills. * High School graduate or equivalent.
