These apps are a mix of web-based user interfaces, middleware applications/services and back-end processing jobs. The group is also responsible for helping define and maintain the general SOA infrastructure that is utilized by many different IT groups. The infrastructure also enables the integration of .NET/Java-based systems with legacy back-ends including IBM zOS and Unisys Clearpath MCP. Looking for an Enterprise based Developer not a tool based developer. It is very important that candidates are technology agnostic and care more about solving business problems than working with the latest technology flavor or fad. Use 2 of these Previsors: Web Services, C#, .NET Programming, SQL Database Design Tests. There will be a lot of Middletier and Backend Development. They will use Web Services as required for this position as well as Database Design so they must have worked on database and doing backend integration work where the middleware will talk to the database. Must know database tables and design schemas and code stored procedures using TSQL or SQL. Must understand complex Business Logic. Will also be interacting with the mainframe. Must be OK with wearing a lot of hats and not afraid to try new. It's helpful to have industry experience but not required since they will have knowledge of Secure Sites and using things like SQL injects, Cross Sight Scripting and come from a Large Enterprise background. They are working in a mixed methodology environment but all SDLC, some source control, some Agile. Above all, this role requires a sharp individual with a good basis in computer science fundamentals including algorithms and data structures. The candidate should be very detail-oriented. The role also requires strong technical design and development skills in order to provide clever yet efficient solutions to complex business and technology problems. The candidate should have experience designing new systems from the ground up as well as taking over existing systems and provide noticeable and significant improvements. S/he needs to be able to block diagram a system and explain how the pieces fit together. The candidate should be amenable to following existing organizational design standards where applicable and fill in gaps where standards are lacking. Extremely refined problem solving skills are also a must as s/he may need to be able to coolly troubleshoot business critical systems during outages. The candidate will be a member of a core application architecture team that helps to define the shared SOA framework that is utilized by almost all client apps.Non-Negotiable: 5-10 years .NET experience. Understands multi tier applications and common Enterprise Level Design Patterns. Middle tier development with web interface experience, Web services, website - ASP.NET, SOA, MVC Applications. Plus would be HTML 5. CS degree or higher. Excellent communication skills, accountability, detail oriented and other soft skills very important. Description: Developers needed for massive modernization effort of our Origination-based systems. Tasks will include a mix of maintaining existing mission-critical systems while working on the design, architecture and development of those systems from their current Progress, C and .NET 2.0-style code to large-scale, modern .NET 4.0 SOA-based enterprise application. Candidates must be able to get deep into the weeds of large, complex multi tier web application code to discern business rules and create outside-the-box solutions for iteratively migrating components to the new architecture. Excellent troubleshooting skills is also required. Experience with Agile development (Scrum) is a major plus and will be heavily utilized, but candidates must also be able to meet all the compliance and regulatory standards that exist for a large financial institution.Technology doesn't change the world.
