About the Team Cloud OperationsThe Cloud Operations Team is responsible for the engineering and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure which supports the Kipu Systems cloud:based EMR.
Information Technology The Information Technology Team is responsible for all corporate IT services and any computer related equipment that supports the business including laptops, telecommunication devices, tablets, smartphones, printers, local area networks, wide area networks, or any other related hardware or software.
About the Job The Manager of Cloud Operations and IT is the leader of both teams from a technical and personnel perspective. This is a full:time position based in our Downtown Miami office and you must be authorized to work in the United States on a full:time basis for any employer. Responsibilities:
:Direct and develop staff to meet performance goals and objectives and ensures that projects meet set deadlines.
:Cloud Operations
:Manage a team of highly technical DevOps Engineers.
:Manage the on:call duty as part of a team maintaining responsible for the availability and performance of the system from a full stack perspective.
:Develop application and system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts.
:Design operability:related features such as system health monitoring, diagnostics, repair, and other self:healing automation.
:Monitor the health of the system, automating system health, maintenance tasks, and reporting systems as needed.
:Handle security operations investigations, evaluate risk and potential impact to the system from a security perspective.
:Information Technology
:Provide leadership, direction and act as a role model for helpdesk and desktop support technicians to manage, maintain, and upgrade IT operations.
:Lead staff with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting software applications, maintaining and expanding IT and voice communication infrastructure and technologies.
:Test, evaluate and deploy new technology as needed to improve user, business and/or team performance.
:Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and regulatory mandates
Qualifications
:Cloud Operations
:5+ years of technical or people management experience.
:Expert or Intermediate level experience running and maintaining a 24x7 Internet:oriented production environment, preferably across multiple data centers, involving at least hundreds of machines
:Expert or Intermediate level experience in automation and monitoring frameworks, deployment and development.
:Expert or Intermediate level knowledge and experience in designing, deploying and administering complex Amazon AWS cloud applications.
:Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of Linux fundamentals, including networking, file systems, security, and the kernel.
:Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including both hardware and host:based routing, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.
:Expert or Intermediate level knowledge of the full stack.
:Information Technology
:Experience working with operations and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements.
:Experience communicating cross:functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settings.
:Understanding of core internet technologies : DHCP, DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP.
:Technical expertise in one or more IT related fields including networking, Linux administration, Microsoft administration, and/or Cisco network configuration and management.
