VP, Transformation Leader
VP, Transformation Leader (QBE Americas, Inc.; Miami, Florida) Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. Collect and analyze data and develop and supply optimal time, and progress tracking mechanisms and metrics to evaluate overall delivery, as well as variances in budget, scope and return on investment. Analyze risks, benefits, and business opportunities to ensure organizational competitiveness and satisfaction of established long-term objectives. Organize and provide business responses regarding strategy, staffing, priorities, tradeoffs, operating models, data, and technology. Translate business strategies into detailed executable plans. Review local regulations within the Latin America region/market to determine how businesses operate, review process efficiencies and centralize all transactional and financial processes within the Latin American region and North American region. Conduct gap analysis to identify and implement efficient improvement initiatives in business operations and to determine where to hire people and complete deals, which is driven by local regulations of the emerging markets region within Latin America. Establish appropriate governance mechanisms. Provide progress reports and prepare presentations. Coach and mentor direct reports. Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs and costs, and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility. Evaluate risks and develop actions to remediate impact. Collaborate with experts to develop methodologies for planning and executing initiative deliverables that align with organization's overall governance structure. 37.5 hrs/wk, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Requirements: Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Management, Business, Economics, or a related field, plus 7 years of related work experience (5 years of which must be progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience).
Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: business transformation and end-to-end strategic planning; implementation of large-scale business transformation programs and projects; application of lean methodologies; assessments of risks, benefits, and business opportunities, and the use of such assessments to develop and effectuate programs, policies, and procedures within an organization to enhance its operations; and performing gap analysis to identify and implement organizational improvement initiatives.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in exercising financial judgment to assess and manage business risks and opportunities.
Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: project management; business analytics; change leadership; large scale business projects; managerial role in the design and implementation of financial processes within an organization; creating and presenting pitches to organizational leaders and key stakeholders; use of Enterprise Resource Planning technology to analyze, design, and implement new business processes; working within the Latin America region/market (all 6 countries Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Puerto Rico, Mexico) to centralize transactional and financial processes; Advising Latin American companies on evaluating risks and developing actions to remediate risks; applying knowledge of local regulations within the Latin America market to conduct gap analysis to identify and implement efficient improvement initiatives in business operations.
Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in the finance or insurance industry.
Must be willing and able to travel approximately 20% of the time.
