a) Knowledge of:

Familiarity with homeless families, Miami-Dade County Public School system’s requirements, community resources and developmental stages of childhood.

b) Kind and length of experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience working with homeless families or related experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the social service or related field.

c) Skills required:

Excellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of MS Excel and spreadsheet activities. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

d) Traits required:

Ability to multi-task, be a team-player, be dependable, be proactive, be a self-starter and be punctual. Willingness to be reached after hours in emergency situations. Patience in dealing with mentally or emotionally challenged individuals. Ability to interact with multi-ethnic individuals.

e) Education required:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or Education or equivalent experience.
