Jaguar Hospitality Group a restaurant & hospitality organization is currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper/Office Clerk for our main office located in Miami, FL. The Bookkeeper/Office Clerk must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the bookkeeping field. The ideal Bookkeeper/Office Clerk will have advanced QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills. Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions, answering telephones, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing. They must be comfortable with working as a team member, multi-task, handle multiple projects and prioritize assigned tasks to meet deadlines. Tasks include: Do basic bookkeeping, Accounts Receivables/Payables Post all vendor invoices into Quick books for a multi-unit restaurant business. Prepare vendor invoices for payment. Prepare checks Prepare daily sales reports Reconcile vendor statements by communicating with unit managers and vendors on a weekly basis Post revenue and expense journal entries to the general ledger Prepares monthly reports. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions. Collect, count, and disburse money, and complete banking transactions. Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks. Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using the computer. Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Special assignments as needed JOB REQUIREMENTS A Bachelor's degree is preferred with at least one-year office clerk experience. Experience working in a restaurant or hotel also preferred.
