The Manager Tax Property manages all aspects of real property tax, personal property tax and business license renewals, and will report to the Director or Operating TaxBachelors degree in Accounting or similar fieldEight (8) years or more multi:state real and personal property tax experienceAbility to work effectively with managers and employees at all levels of the organizationStrong research skills. Strong analytical and computer skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionMust be able to communicate in a succinct and understandable manner both verbally and in writingStrong presentation skillsAbility to organize and prioritize work. Excellent work ethicAbility to direct, motivate and coach the activities of othersAbility to exercise sound judgment in problem solvingPositive, assertive and persuasive communication styleKnowledgeable of property tax rules and regulations in multiple states; advanced levelBig 4 and industry tax experience; advanced level; preferredExcellent knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.; advanced levelOther CPA or CMI; preferredManage and develop property tax and business license staffAccountable for the accuracy of the property tax and business license calendar for both due dates and paymentsAccountable for timely review of property tax renditions, tax accruals and account reconciliationsAccountable for the accuracy and maintenance of the property values and assessments in the personal property tax database and retrieval of audit dataCommunicate with field and finance personnel on property tax issuesManage personal property tax, real property tax appeals, related consulting agreements. Manage property tax auditsVerify personal property tax bills are as expected based on renditions.
