WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a FF&E Planning Coordinator for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools project in Miami, FL.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) approved the issuance of a $1.2 billion General Obligation Bond for renovating facilities, updating technology, building school replacements, expanding student capacity and enhancing facility safety. M-DCPS has engaged Parsons Brinckerhoff, to provide Program Management Support Services on this seven (7) year task order program and to work in tandem with and under direction of in-house staff, on management of these projects. Our staff will be tasked to maintain a rollout schedule that will see every school in Miami-Dade County improved, helping ensure a safe and beneficial future learning environment for students. Scope of Services may include land acquisition assistance; assistance with the selection of design and construction professionals; planning, coordination, administration and management oversight of projects and other related services.

The FF&E Planning Coordinator:
• Provides technical and planning guidance to schools and departmental personnel for program areas identified in the project
• Participates in project planning through team management meetings and and attendance at project working meetings
• Coordinates the development and selection of District FF&E Standards to be utilized in M-DCPS facilities for all space types
• Analyzes and compares prices with market trends, the current economy, and availability of products and services
• Processes, verifies, and evaluates FF&E catalog selections for conformance with MDCPS buying guidelines, educational specifications, and approved prototypical master list
• Reviews FF&E Plans submitted by architects for compliance with project-specific FF&E package
• Ensures effective utilization of FF&E budget on all projects assigned
• Reconciles the principal's requirements with available funding and monitors projected costs vs. budget
• Prepares cost estimates for alternative scopes of work
• Performs other duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a directly-related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in architecture, interior design, furniture planning, space planning, or a directly-related field
• Evidence of knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, furniture plans, and specifications
• Strong administrative/office skills
• Working proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Evidence of knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
